Crazy Scotsman

So wherever you go in the world i am pritty sure that you will find a crazy scotsman somewhere in your walk way. jijiji

true Scotsman

So you all wonder how a man looks in a skirt, well this is it, i am on the right, my mum in the middle and my brother on the left, we are at my sisters wedding in Dubai. Looking good hey.
O.k. so this is how a river guide travels arround the world, you need your kayak in a bag so that you can say that it is a surf board, this way you do not pay extra on flights, In your kayak you load it with all of your river gear. when arriving to the check in desk, make sure that you do not have a look on your face that what you are carrying is heavy, just smile alot. you then need a small bag pack for your clothes and a pelican box for your compu and camera. happy travels and enjoy the rivers of the world.

Alex celebrated his 18th birthday in India on the river Ganges, where he worked for a period of seven months as a trip leader and safety kayaker on a number of rivers. He says that one of his favourite places in the world is the Golden Temple in the city of Amristar, also the home to the Sihk Gurus who invented Kundalini Yoga.

At the age of 18, Alex arrived in Kenya, East Africa to work as a trip leader on the many rivers arround the country. While here, Alex made the first descent of Mission Falls on the river Tana.

Over the years Alex returned to Kenya various times to run expedition trips and guide courses for the company, Savage Wilderness Safaris.
You cant get a better safari than simply floating down one of the many rivers of Kenya, observing all the nature in its natural habitat.

The River Orchy in Scotland is Alex´s home river. Alex grew up in Saudi Arabia for 8 years and on his return to Scotland his father sent him on a kayak course and this is how it all started. by the age of 11 years old, Alex had already trained up to be a raft guide, he was not only one of the first guides from Scotland but also the youngst. In the first years most rafting trips were run on the river Tay, until one day Alex convinced the boss to let him run trips on the river Orchy, now clasified as the best commercial rafting trip in the U.K.
